Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Sajith Premadasa says his ministry will provide homes for all citizens by the year 2020.
The Minister expressed these views attending a function held in Hambantota.
He pointed out that the subject of housing should be assigned under one ministry and the people are inconvenienced by dividing it into sections.
He further stated that the Ministry, which built the housing schemes to satisfy personal wishes, was broken into pieces.
Sajith Premadasa says that although the ministry has been divided into parts, by 2020-2025 everyone in the country will be given a house.
