According to the police 4,624 individuals have been arrested for driving under the influence in islandwide raids conducted over 17 days.
Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that the islandwide raids commenced on the 5th of this month.
237 individuals were arrested for DUI within the past 24 hours which ended at 6.00 am this morning (July 22).
