Heavy showers above 50mm will occur in the Uva and Central Provinces today after 2 p.m, the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.
They said showers will occur in the Northern, North-Central and Eastern Provinces.
Showers may occur in North-Western, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces as well.
Meanwhile, showers will occur in the sea areas off the coast extending from
Mannar to Pottuvil via Kankasanthurai and Trincomalee.
