Heavy showers may occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon, the Meteorology Department said.
Therefore, the public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by localized, temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Meanwhile, on its apparent northward relative motion, the sun will be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka till April 15.
