The Government has increased local postal charges and the postage fee of Rs. 15 for an ordinary letter has been increased to Rs. 50.
The registered postage fee will be increased from Rs.30 to Rs.60. Under the facility to mail letters at subsidized rates for charities and voluntary organisations, the postage fee for a letter weighing up to 20 grams has been revised from Rs. 12 rupees to Rs.30.
