Lockdowns cannot succeed without public cooperation – Deputy Director-General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath

Deputy Director-General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath said yesterday that imposing quarantine curfews will not be beneficial if citizens continue to disregard health guidelines.

He said it is evident that a large number of people are disregarding the curfew at present.

Dr. Hemantha Herath said prevention and controlling the spread of COVID-19 is a collective effort with everyone having a role to play.

The Deputy Director-General of Health Services was speaking to the media yesterday at the Health Promotion Bureau.
