The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has granted approval to increase the price of Laugfs gas cylinders, officials said.
Accordingly, the price of a 12.5kg Laugfs gas cylinder has been increased by Rs. 363 to be sold at Rs. 1,856.
The price of the 5kg Laugfs mini gas cylinder has been increased by Rs. 145 and to be sold at Rs. 743.
However, State Minister of Cooperative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna said the price of a Litro gas would remain unchanged.
