Education Minister Prof. G.L Pieris said that it is impossible to reopen the schools in September as it was pre-planned according to the prevailing situation.
Addressing the media at SLPP headquarters today, Minister said that the administration had a clear strategy in place to reopen schools with the vaccination campaign.
The Education Minister further said that they expected to give two doses of the vaccination to all teachers and non-academic staff at schools before the end of August and that schools will reopen in September.
