The Chairman of the Chilaw Urban Council has been arrested by the police last night over an incident of assaulting two youth, said the Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana.
The two youth were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital following the assault.
And the suspects will be produced before the Chilaw Magistrate’s Court today, he further said.
