Scholarship & A/L exams to be delayed further

It has been decided that the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination and the GCE Advanced Level Examination will not be held in August this year.

The decision was made following a meeting held via zoom with officials including the Minister of Education, the Commissioner-General of Examinations, Sanath B. Poojitha said.

During the meeting, it was discussed that it would be unfair to hold the examinations in August due to the inadequate time to cover the syllabus during the time of the pandemic.

However, a decision on the final date to hold the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination or the GCE Advanced Level Examination has not been made yet, the Commissioner-General of Examinations further said.
