05 mobile phones were seized following a search inside the Colombo Remand Prison on Friday (12).
The Department of Prisons said 11 SIM cards, 04 phone batteries, and several other equipment were seized during the search carried out based on the request forwarded by the Colombo Remand Prison Superintendent.
The Department of Prisons added further investigations are underway.
