A Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has been deployed to douse the fire at Ravana Ella forest reserve.
The fire had broken out at the Ravana Ella forest reserve last evening (March 05).
Wildlife officers, the police and the SLAF are currently engaged in a joint effort to control the flames
