Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Leader and Member of Parliament Rauff Hakeem has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a tweet on Sunday (10), the MP said he was moved to a quarantine facility and requested those who came into contact with him in the last 10 days to take the necessary precautions.
Hakeem is the second Member of Parliament to test positive for COVID-19, after State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera revealed he tested positive for the coronavirus last week.
I have tested positive for COVID-19 today and will be entered into a quarantine facility. I request those who came into contact with me in the last 10 days to take necessary health and safety precautions.
