IGP orders special security near Churches
IGP C.D. Wickramaratne today ordered Senior Superintendents of Police, Assistant Superintendents of Police and OICs to implement a special security mechanism near churches and places of worship in view of Christmas celebrations.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the officers have been instructed to consult the clergy of the respective churches and places of worship and execute this special security plan, especially on December 24 and 25.
