6882 people in 75 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine, said the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

It went on to note 46,330 individuals have been sent back home after completing the mandatory quarantine period.

On Monday (28), 1203 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 284,059.

As of Tuesday morning, the total number of fully recovered detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648 and 02 infected individuals are still under treatment.

The flight EY 264 from Abu Dhabi with 24 passengers, the flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 46 passengers and the flight UL 218 from Qatar with 27 passengers have arrived in Colombo.

All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.
