Police curfew for 23 districts in the island was lifted at 5:00 this morning.
The curfew will continue for Colombo and Gampaha districts, until further notice, President’s Media Division announced.
Police curfew for other districts including Kalutara and Puttalam will be in force only from 8 pm till 5 am daily, until further notice.
The resumption of civilian life and work whilst curfew is in effect in the Colombo and Gampaha districts will continue as planned before.
The conditions issued in this regard will remain unchanged, The President’s Media Division noted.
Legal action will be enforced on those who act in violation of quarantine regulations, Deputy Inspector General of Police and Attorney-at-Law, Ajith Rohana.
