18 navy men, one Dubai returnee among yesterday’s COVID-19 cases

Out of the 20 COVID-19 positive cases confirmed on Tuesday (12), a total of 18 have been identified from the Navy.

One of Tuesday’s positive cases is a close contact of a previously-detected coronavirus patient.

The other one is a person who was recently repatriated from Dubai and was undergoing mandatory quarantine at the facility in Kandakadu.

The COVID-19 positive cases tally went up to 889 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of active cases under medical care to 514.

The number of recoveries thus far is reported as 366. The death toll due to the virus in Sri Lanka is 09.
