A Sri Lankan residing in Switzerland has died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) complications, says the Ministry of Foreign Relations.
The deceased was identified as a 59-year-old male.
He is the first Sri Lankan national to succumb to the deadly virus that has claimed the lives of more than 24,000 globally.
