Nine senior police officers including two DIGs have been transferred, based on service requirements following approval by the National Police Commission and the Election Commission.
DIG D.M.M. Pussella was transferred as the DIG in-charge of the Environment Protection and Community Police Division.
Issuing a communique, the police media division said, DIG of the Colombo Division, B.R.S.R. Nagahamulla, will now be in-charge of the Transport Management and Road Safety division, as well.
The Police Headquarters said, 3 Superintendents of Police and 4 Assistant Superintendents of Police are also among those transferred.
