Special medical test for bus drivers and conductors

Bus Drivers and conductors o are expected to be subject to a special medical test.

Director-General of the National Transport Commission Nilan Miranda said it had been revealed that most road accidents occur as a result of bus drivers and conductors suffering from various illnesses.

A special medical clinic will be held at the main private bus terminal in Colombo, today. The Director-General of the NTC added it had been made compulsory for all bus drivers and conductors to attend this clinic.

This is a joint project by the NTC, Police and the Transport Medical Institute.
