The main party office of ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ was declared open by former Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, this morning (09).
Following the opening religious observances were carried out to mark the occasion, stated siyatha news reporter.
The new party office of the alliance is located 815, E. W. Perera Mawatha, Ethul Kotte.
Meanwhile, a final decision on the election symbol will be arrived at today, stated Premadasa addressing a public meeting in Nittambuwa, yesterday (08).
However, the Working Committee of the United National Party (UNP) did not authorize the formation of a new alliance.
According to the General Secretary of the alliance Ranjith Madduma Bandara, a large number of UNP members have joined with ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’.
