Wasantha Senanayake to appear before 4/21 commission

Former State Minister, Wasantha Senanayake has been summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission appointed to look into the April 21st attacks, today (March 5).

Secretary to the Commission, H.M.P.B. Herath said, Chief Inspector at the Criminal Investigations Department, Lalith Dissanayake has also been summoned to appear at the commission today. Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Dhammika Kumari Semasinghe is also scheduled to appear before the commission today.

As of now, more than 78 people have provided evidence before the commission. The Presidential Commission appointed to look into the April 21st attacks has already submitted two interim reports to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The commission’s tenure will conclude on the 22nd of March.
