A series of protests are taking place in Colombo at the moment.
National Housing Development Authority Employees
Workers attached to the National Housing Development Authority who were terminated from service continue their protest opposite the Presidential Secretariat at the designated Agitation Site. These workers claim, though they were in service for many years, they were terminated from service without pay since December last year.
National Organization for the Protection of Rights of War Heroes
The National Organization for the Protection of Rights of War Heroes continues with their fast and protest opposite the Fort Railway Station demanding their due pension. The Fort Magistrate’s Court had issued an order for the protestors to move away from the location and the order was communicated to them by Police.
ETI Depositors’ Association
The ETI Depositors’ Association marched from the Fort Railway Station to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to stage a protest which is currently underway.
