A person has been arrested at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo with a stock of narcotic drugs, stated the Police.
Reportedly, a parcel from Mexico had been inspected when the owner of the parcel arrived at the Central Mail Exchange to receive it.
Upon inspection, 502 grams of Ice has been found inside the parcel, stated the Police.
The arrested suspect is a 29-year-old resident of the Pannipitiya are and is set to be produced at the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
Further investigations on the matter are carried out by the Police Narcotic Bureau.
