A three-wheel driver has been murdered in the Ekala area along the Ja-ela – Minuwangoda road.
According to the Police, the victims has been identified as a 67-year-old. Police believe that the murder was committed by two individuals who had traveled on the three-wheeler from Minuwangoda. The suspects are believed to have attacked the victim with a sharp weapon and made away with Rs 1000.
The victim who suffered serious injuries in the assault was admitted to the Ja-Ela hospital and was later transferred to the Ragama hospital before passing away. Investigations have been launched to apprehend the suspects involved in the murder.
