Former MP Sarana Gunawardene senteced to 3-year imprisonment

Former Parliamentarian Sarana Gunawardene was sentenced to 3 years in prison today (January 7) by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.

The former Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board Sarana Gunawardene was found guilty of misappropriating state funds and was also ordered to pay Rs. 300,000 in addition to the prison sentence.
