The Police has arrested 12 suspects for possession of heroin during several operations. The STF raided several areas in Medawachchiya, Hambantota, Tangalle, and Galle. Accordingly, 8 suspects were arrested and nearly 2100 milligrams of heroin were seized while in their possession.
Meanwhile, four suspects including two females were arrested in Madiwela, Slave Island, Modara and Bulathsinhala areas. Police seized 11 grams and 650 milligrams of heroin from the suspects.
