Employees operating the 170 Athurugiriya – Pettah bus route have launched a strike action.
The strike has been launched in protest against an argument that took place between a bus employee and a police officer on Friday (Dec 20). The Police noted that the SLTB Tahalangama depot has begun operations between Athurugiriya and Pettah in order to avoid inconveniencing the general public.
