Early landslide warning issued to 3 districts

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a landslide early warning for a number of districts as the rainfall within the past 24-hours has exceeded 150 mm.

The NBRO has issued advisories for DS Divisions in the Kalutara, Galle, and Kegalle districts for potential threats of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures and ground subsidence.

Accordingly, residents of Bulathsinhala, Walallawita, Matugama, Agalawatta DS divisions in the Kalutara district, Elpitiya, Niyagama, Nagoda, Imaduwa, Baddegama DS divisions in the Galle district and Yatiyantota DS division in the Kegalle district are requested to remain vigilant.
