Prevailing dry weather conditions in the Northern parts of the country has forced the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) to take action to restrict the water supply to several areas. Thereby the NWSDB has announced a daily 10-hour water cut for Vavuniya and its suburbs, with effect from today.
The water cut will be in effect from 4 a.m to 9 a.m and 4 p.m to 9 p.m.
The water cut will affect the following areas, Thekkawatta, Vairawa Puliyankulam, Vavuniya town, Jaffna road, Rambeikulam, Kudirippu, Sused Pillaiyar Kulam, Madhavi Chaithyakulam, Thonikkal, Koyilkulam, Melik Kulam, Ambalangodella, Madukanda, and South Iluppeikulam.
