Water levels of Kalu Ganga rising: Ratnapura residents requested to be vigilant

The Department of Irrigation states that the water level in the Ratnapura area of the Kalu Ganga is continuously increasing due to the prevailing rain.

Director of the Hydrology Division of the Department, Mala Athuwala says that the normal flood level of Ratnapura is 6 m as per the Muwagama water gauge. As of now, the water level stands at 5.3 m. Thereby the residents living in Ratnapura close to the Kalu Ganga are advised to take precautions.
