Colombo Municipal Commissioner Palitha Nanayakkara and several other municipal councillors have visited the Aruwakkalu Sanitary Landfill Site with the aim of monitoring the waste disposal process.
The Colombo Municipal Council noted that about 1700 metric tons of garbage that were accumulated are being dumped in the Aruwakkalu site. Municipal Commissioner Palitha Nanayakkara said that the number of garbage vehicles traveling to Aruwakkalu daily will be increased from today (August 15).
