National Dengue Control Unit reported that the number of dengue patients has increased in eight districts.
Community Specialist of National Dengue Control Unit Dr Praseela Samaraweera stated that 42 deaths and 30,764 dengue patients were recorded during the past six months of this year.
National Dengue Control Unit stated that Dengue Prevention Programs have been implemented island-wide and that those who facilitate dengue breeding places will be held legally responsible.
