Several spells of showers will occur in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-eliya districts. Fairly heavy falls about 50 mm can be expected at some places in Uva province and in Polonnaruwa, Matale and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to 50 kmph can be expected in Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces and in the Eastern slopes of central hills.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Misty conditions can be expected in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
