Former Police Spokesman SSP Jaliya Senaratne, who was transferred to the Kankesanthurai Division as Personal Assistant to the Senior DIG in charge of the Northern Province, had been transferred to the Police Headquarters with immediate effect, sources said.
Accordingly, Acting IGP C.D. Wickramaratne had assigned SSP Senaratne for special duties at the COVID-19 Operations Centre at the Police Headquarters as part of service requirement.
Last week, the Acting IGP ordered SSP Senaratne to be transferred to the Kankesanthurai Division “as a disciplinary action”
