Ten positive cases of Covid-19 were reported within Wednesday (10), says the Department of Government Information.
Eight of them are naval personnel under quarantine at the facilities in Mullaitivu and Iyakachchi.
Two imported cases of coronavirus were also reported on Wednesday (10) – A returnee from Qatar at the Palagahatenna Quarantine Centre (QC) and another returnee from Mumbai, India at the Diyatalawa QC.
With the addition of these new cases, the total number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka moved to 1,869.
Meanwhile, the count of recoveries from Sri Lanka reached 1,122.
As per a tally of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 736 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals in the country.
Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the novel coronavirus so far.
