Covid-19 infections confirmed in Sri Lanka have moved to 1,876 as another person tested positive for the virus, says the Ministry of Health.
Accordingly, a total of 7 fresh Covid-19 cases have been detected so far within the day. Six of them were confirmed from the Navy.
Meanwhile, 28 more persons who had contracted the virus recovered from the disease earlier today. They were receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (07), Welikanda Base Hospital (10), Iranawila Hospital (01), Kattankudy Base Hospital (01), Welisara Navy Hospital (06), Homagama Base Hospital (02) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (01).
The Epidemiology Unit’s tally reads that 715 active cases are currently under medical care.
Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19.
