Fifty-nine more naval personnel who were confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus have made complete recoveries, Sri Lanka Navy said issuing a statement today (14).
They had been undergoing treatment at the Naval General Hospital (44), Homagama Hosptial (05), Mulleriyawa Hospital (03), Infectious Disease Hospital (03), Welikanda Hospital (02) and Iranawila Hospital (02).
These discharged navy men will be kept under quarantine for another 14 days in compliance with the healthcare instructions.
Accordingly, a total of 121 naval personnel has recovered from COVID-19 so far.
Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry says that out of the 915 positive cases of coronavirus confirmed in Sri Lanka to date, 480 were detected from the Navy.
