Eight fresh cases of COVID-19 infections have been reported a short while ago marking the first cases detected within the day (May 10).
Accordingly, the count of total coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 855.
Currently, 525 active cases of coronavirus infection are under medical care at hospitals across the island, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry.
With 61 patients recovering from the virus earlier today, the tally of recoveries in the country is at 321 cases.
Sri Lanka has recorded 9 fatalities from the disease.
