The registrar general’s department notes that they are planning on registering land deeds with the aid of new software.
Registrar General N.C. Withanage noted that they aim to reduce the amount of fraud that occurs with land deeds through the implementation of this program. Witghanage noted that they receive over 3000 complaints annually regarding the falsification of land deeds.
Withanage noted that the new system would also expedite operations at the Department adding that they hope to deploy the new system by next month.
