We’d reported that Rajinikanth will be conferred with the Icon of Golden Jubilee of IFFI award this year. Now, The south Indian artistes association, or the Nadigar sangam , as it’s known, has released a press note, congratulating the Superstar for this honour.
The statement read, “This is IFFI’s 50th year, and the festival will be held from November 20-28 in Goa. At the event, movies from different countries will be screened for the audience. Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar has announced that Rajinikanth will be honoured with the Icon Of Golden Jubilee Of #IFFI2019 for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. This announcement has given immense joy and happiness to the Tamil film industry. This is yet another feather in the cap of Rajinikanth, who is hailed as the Superstar of Indian cine industry.”
