Several political parties joined forces with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna this morning (July 26) and entered into an alliance.
The parties which signed the agreement are ;
- The Mawbima Janatha Party of Hemakumara Nanayakkara
- The Lanka Workers United Front of S. Sabhathiran.
- The Tamil United Freedom Front of Vinayagamurthi Muralitharan
- The Eelawa Democratic Party of Mohamed Abdul Majeed.
- The Liberal Party of the Kamal Nissanaka.
- The Nawa Sihala Urumaya of Sarath Manamendra.
- The Democratic National Movement of Anura D. Zoysa.
- The Eksath Lanka Maha Sabhawa
- The Muslim Ulama Party
- The Bhoomi Puthra Party
