The present shortage of All Country-Passports will be ended within two months, Controller General of Emigration and Immigration Nihal Ranasinghe told News.lk.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a proposal made by Minister of Internal Affairs and Wayamba Development S.B. Navinna to order one million passports covering all countries. Accordingly, the process of ordering those passports began today (28th June), Mr. Ranansinghe said.
He further said that the passports printed for Middle East countries will be issued as All-Country-passports until the newly ordered passports are available.
