Prevailing showery condition is expected to continue further over Northern and Eastern parts of the country.
Showers will occur at times in Northern, Eastern, North-Central, Central and Uva provinces and in Hambanthota district. Heavy falls above 100mm can be expected at some places in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Mathale and Nuwara-eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere after 1.00 p.m. and heavy falls above 100mm can be expected at some places.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
