Sri Lanka has reported its 22nd death from the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, a short while ago, the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry confirmed.
The deceased is a 27-year-old male residing in the Panadura area, stated the Department of Government Information.
His death has been determined as a suicide, according to the Department. He had passed away upon admission to the Panadura Base Hospital on October 31.
Subsequent PCR tests have posthumously declared that the deceased youth had been infected with COVID-19.
