Health officials warn that dengue is likely to turn out to be an epidemic in several districts due to intermittent rains.
The President of the Government Entomology Officers’ Association, Najith Sumanasena said that such an epidemic could occur in Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha, Kandy and Jaffna districts.
The number of dengue patients reported this year is 27,625.
