The National Transport Commission said a Staff Transport Service will commence from Friday (27), said Director General of the NTC, Commander (Retired) Nilan Miranda adding 150 buses will be deployed for this service.
20 Public and Private institutions have registered with the National Transport Commission for this service.
Director-General of the NTC, Commander (Retired) Nilan Miranda said these buses will commence operations from Nawam Mawatha in Colombo and will proceed along Kandy Road, Galle Road, High-Level Road, Low-Level Road, and the Chilaw Road.
These buses will reach the respective institutions by 08:30 AM every morning and will depart to the respective destinations at 04:00 PM daily.
Staff members from the respective institutions can pay the normal bus fee and use this service.
