COVID-19 death toll rises to 99 with 03 confirmed deaths on Thursday (26)

3 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed on Thursday (26), raising the death toll in Sri Lanka to 99, said the Director General of Health Services, according to the Department of Government Information.

The details of the COVID-19 deaths are as follows:

01. An 87-year-old male from Colombo 08. He passed away at the National Hospital in Colombo on the 26th of November. The cause of death was ruled as bacterial infection caused by COVID-19 and chronic lung disease exacerbated by COVID-19.

02. An 80-year-old male from Bambalapitiya. He was identified as a COVID-19 patient and was provided treatment at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where he passed away on the 25th of November. The cause of death was ruled as High Blood Pressure, Pneumonia and cardiac arrest, caused by COVID-19.

03. A 73-year-old female from Peliyagoda. She passed away a the National Hospital in Colombo on the 23rd of November. The cause of death was ruled as High Blood Pressure, Diabetes and a stroke caused by COVID-19.
