Sri Lanka Police implemented special security measures in line with postal voting proceedings of the 2020 Parliamentary Election, Police Spokesperson – SSP Jaliya Senaratne said on Monday (July 13).
“Special patrol units will be deployed across the island covering all postal voting centres of the general election,” SSP Jaliya Senaratne said.
According to SSP Senaratne police officers deployed for election duty were advised to act in compliance with the guidelines issued by the National Election Commission.
