256 leaves Mullaitivu quarantine facility

A group of 256 civilians who were quarantined at the Mullaitivu quarantine center maintained by the Sri Lanka Air Force have been released.

They have left the premises for their residences today (10), stated Sri Lanka Air Force.

Meanwhile, by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated that a total of 533 individuals who underwent the quarantine process at quarantine facilities have left for their residences yesterday (09).

The individuals have been subjected to PCR testing before they were released, the media release by NOCPCO added.

The persons who left Punani (75), Kandakadu (62), Vidattapalei (298) Iyyakachchi (80), Diyatalawa (05) Hotel Dolphin (01), Navy-managed Nipuna Boossa (12) Quarantine Centres have been awarded with Quarantine Certificates as well.

By yesterday (9), a total of 6299 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed Quarantine Centres have left for their homes. As of now, 4428 persons are still in quarantine in island-wide 39 Quarantine Centres, run by tri-services.
